THE BEGINNING
Mr Deepak started his travel business in 2016 in the chilly month of November. As it was their family business, they were not dependent only on their walk-in customers. This time, while driving, an idea came across their mind about changing their business from offline to online. The motivating factor for Mr Deepak is sales. He believes that in this travel industry, it is crucial to know about the timing. You should know about demand and supply and then take a decision accordingly.

EXPERTISE
Their expertise lies in adventure activities. In 2011, they were in the adventure park business. This is when they decided to diversify their services by including many other adventures. Trippy Trek provides a variety of adventure activities for adrenaline junkies. From paragliding, parasailing, and horseback riding to every water adventure, they cover every possible activity. As of now, they only provide these activities in Himachal Pradesh. However, they are planning to expand their businesses to other states as well.

CHALLENGES AND RESILIENCE
When asked about the challenges they faced, they had to face a lot of problems. Taking into account this year’s situation, when Himachal Pradesh had to face a lot of damage, travel completely took a halt there. These worsened conditions are a setback for a trippy trek. Other than this, government policies also play a huge role in the entire business format. During the COVID pandemic, the travel industry was the only industry that was vastly affected. This was also the industry that recovered the last. When it comes to travel, a prudent family person would have to cut down on a lot of costs and expenses. Travelling is the last thought that comes to mind. So it was a tough situation for them to survive during such harsh times.

PLAN FOR 2023
Post-pandemic, many psychological changes were seen in consumers'behaviour. Due to this, Trippy Treks bookings last year were lower than pre-Covid. Customers are still hesitating to trust online websites. However, they are planning to integrate both online and offline structures to achieve their target. But only time will tell what they have achieved and what is still required to be done.

JOURNEY WITH TRAVIYO
